Turn the page

So I had yet another letter bomb from the masses (okay one goddamn letter… fuck you) ask me about what I’m currently reading and what I read in general. They also asked what Nalora reads so I’ll do my best answer all those questions right now. Nalora is big in to fantasy novels it’s pretty much all she needs, just to head off any questions on that score her favorite books are The Sword of Shannarra series (no idea if I spelled that right). I’m a big fantasy fan too but I’m heavier in to the Scifi side of the house and I love history books that
actually tell a story, 96 Confirmed Kills, and Blackhawk Down are excellent examples of the type of book I mean there.

For me I have a vareity of favorite books but my number one is now and forever Robert H. Heinlein’s classic Starship Troopers, series wise I enjoy The Dresden Files, Star Wars (I’m a nerd, sue me) the STAR FIST novels (come on, space marines are always cool), the novels from “The Black Library” which are the collected stories of the fictional universe of Warhammer 40,000 (yes still a nerd, but I will be damned if this game and series does not prove the space marine point)

Storm Front – Jim Butcher

an excellent reread for me, the first of The Dresden Files

Valentine’s Exile – E.E. Knight

part of the SciFi/Horror Vampire Earth series looks really good, can’t wait to get my paws on it…
