And the race is on…
The presidential race is picking up and it feels like november is just around the corner. The heat is definently on with both the big tickets annoucning their vice-presidential canidates. To start with the esteemed Mr. Obama and his VP-wanna be Joe Biden. Joe Biden is playing off of Obama on some level. To start it’s goddamn ironic is what he is. Obama is supposed to be representing change from the “rich, old, white male power mongers” in DC and who does he pick up to be his VP? a rich, white, male powermonger of course. Kinda has to make the Daily Show eat their own word’s from the billboard they had erected near the GOP National Convention, the sign feauturing Jon Stewart and crew also featured the words “Welcome Rich White Oligarchs” wether speaking to the GOP or predicting Biden’s selection as Obama’s running mate we’ll never really know. The DNC in general is heavily divided over Obama with a whole bunch of Hillary supporters ready to pick up their toys and go home… or go over and hang out with Johnny McCain… That was even before John selected his VP. The able Govenor of Alaska has proudly stepped up and shows all signs of being an excellent VP selection (not to mention she’s pretty good looking for someone in her 40’s). Never mind that she’s a nice add on to the ticket with her views and agenda, not to mention her extensive experience as a legislature and an actual leader. What’s funny is that Democrats pulled a “copy-pastefu” and re-used every Republican arguement about Barack’s inexperience and turned it around verbatim against the new girl on the block. Somewhere, I just know some god is laughing at this.
Further on even if the good Govenor was a total shill/sham pick she brings in a serious portion of the Hillary vote, that is the girl power vote who liked Hill more because she was a woman more then for her ideas and views. Hopefully she’ll also appeal to the more intelligent portion of women voters but alot of them were voting for McCain any way… Whatever, start the popcorn kids things just got intresting!
